Michael Corvo, RSD, Pentera

 

Michael Corvo, native to Chicago with his wife and two children, has been in technology sales for 10+ years. As a member of Pentera, Michael partners with organizations to validate and enhance their security programs through continuous and automated pentesting. 800+ global organizations partner with Pentera to validate their current investments and drive efficiency and efficacy of their security tools. 

Larry Hammond, Senior System Engineer, Stamus Networks

 

With over 15 years of IT security experience, Larry is an expert in identifying vulnerabilities and architectural weaknesses within clients’ systems. With extensive experience in various security positions, including information protection, technical sales, and penetration testing, he has a comprehensive understanding of network security and its associated risks and benefits. 

 

Larry has collaborated with numerous industries, performing security assessments on applications, networks, and wireless systems. His experience with security detection and response solutions has given him valuable insights into the complexities of protecting large enterprise networks from cyber threats.

Scott Hunter, RSM, Snyk

 

Scott Hunter brings more than 20 years of field sales experience helping to provide solutions for customers with challenges ranging from Security Operations and Monitoring, to Identity and most recently in the Application Security. Beginning as a developer, Scott brings a unique technical lens to his problem solving approach and enjoys seeing his customers enjoy success with the solutions he represents.

Megan Keeling, Senior Strategic Threat Intelligence Analyst, Recorded Future

 

Megan is a senior strategic threat intelligence analyst at Recorded Future with a multidisciplinary background in cybersecurity, technology policy, and international relations. Prior to Recorded Future, she worked as a cyber risk consultant supporting various federal civilian government agencies. She has a masters degree in international security studies from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts and a bachelors in English Literature from The College of William and Mary. She also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Jordan.

Lori Kevin, Vice President, Enterprise IT & Security, Intelligent Medical Objects

 

Lori has over 20 years of experience in technology, operations, and specifically in building an innovative and robust security program from the ground up. She is currently VP of Enterprise IT & Security at Intelligent Medical Objects, a software development organization whose product offerings ensure clinical data quality and integrity across the healthcare ecosystem. Lori and her team provide not only technical security expertise and guidance to software engineers, they also collaborate across the entire enterprise to communicate security awareness through training, awareness campaigns, and risk management.

Dr. Edward Marchewka, Founder and Principal, 3LC Solutions

 

I am the CIO for PryorHealth, a partner network of aesthetics and cosmetic surgery practices. Providing leadership for Information & Technology Services, Data, Reporting, and Analytics, and Information Security. I also serve as the HIPAA Security Officer in this role.

 

I hold a Doctorate in Business Administration. My research, Information Security, Process Improvement, and Risk Management. My dissertation is titled, “Reducing Cybersecurity Risk Information Asymmetry Phenomenon: A Prescriptive Approach to Effectively Communicating Cybersecurity Risk.”

 

I also work with several universities teaching graduate level cybersecurity courses and serving as a dissertation chair for cyberpsychology and healthcare security PhD programs.

Derek Milroy, Senior Security Architect, U.S. Cellular

 

Derek has been implementing security in corporate environments, as both an internal employee and a consultant, for five years. Although he has implemented firewalls, IDSs, and VPNs for various employers and clients he focuses heavily on securing Microsoft hosts and Domain structures. He has hardened hundreds of hosts in environments ranging from less than a dozen servers to enterprise environments with over 1000 servers and thousands of users. In conjunction with hardening he has also crafted and implemented standards, policies, and procedures to maintain the security of his employer’s / client’s environments.

Mike Neuman, AVP, Security & Compliance, VelocityEHS

 

Mike is well versed in navigating the complexities of regulated environments, improving cybersecurity operations, and continuously driving compliance. His has successfully lead onshore and offshore teams while maintaining high performance standards and focusing on business solutions and client engagement.

 

Prior to joining VelocityEHS, Mike served as the Vice President of Information Security at Backstop Solutions Group, where he spearheaded the development of a process-driven approach towards achieving FedRAMP certification and SOC2 Type II certification. Earlier in his career, Mike drove the efforts at Florists Transworld Delivery (FTD) to achieve PCI compliance as a merchant and service provider. Mike earned his MS in Communications System Management from Northwestern University and a BA in History and Political Science from Purdue University.

Kevin Novak is the Chief Information Security Officer for Old National Bancorp (NASDAQ: ONB), the largest financial services holding company headquartered in Indiana, with headquarters in Evansville and Chicago. With approximately $45.7 billion in total assets, Old National ranks among the top 35 banking companies in the U.S.

 

As a former Managing Director at Breakwater Solutions, CISO of Northern Trust Bank, Servis1st Bank, and the University of Chicago Medical Center, and Head of Information Security and Records Management of Discover Financial Services, Kevin is a highly accomplished senior information security and risk management executive with vast expertise in all aspects of information security and technology risk management, most recently in the financial and healthcare sectors.

 

Kevin is the Financial Services National Sector Chief for InfraGard, a former winner and Committee Member of Chicago CISO of the Year, and is a co-founder of ChiBrrCon, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating and mentoring diverse cybersecurity talent across the industry and host to ChiBrrCon annual cybersecurity conference.

Jeff Thurston, VP, Censys

 

With over 20 years of experience in enterprise sales, I am currently the VP Sales at Censys, a leading cybersecurity company that provides continuous asset visibility and attack surface management solutions. I am passionate about delivering value to our clients and driving revenue growth for our company. In my current role, I lead the sales strategy and execution for the North American region, managing a team of high-performing sales professionals and overseeing key accounts. I also partner with cross-functional teams, such as product, marketing, and engineering, to provide feedback and insights from the market and customers. In my previous role as Enterprise Sales, East at Censys, I was responsible for generating new business opportunities and expanding existing relationships with some of the top business to consumer brands globally. I leveraged my skills in customer relationship management (CRM), negotiation, and communication to close large and complex deals and exceed sales targets. I am a driven and collaborative sales leader, with a strong track record of delivering results and building trust with clients and partners. Ron Zochalski, CTO & CISO, Lake County, Indiana Government 

 

CTO & CISO for Lake County Government – Superior Courts Juvenile Division on the zero trust journey to protect data, assets and buildings for current and emerging security threats. I have the ability to break down the financial and technical risks and issues to both technical and the non-technical professionals including the boardroom and get buy in. This is not an easy task.

 

Ron also has spent the last 12 years teaching at Indiana University Northwest teaching students to understand and use various technologies, Personal Finance and Business Administration.

 

Ron’s 20+ year journey started in Financial Services then to Automotive, Newspaper/Media, ECommerce, Supply Chain, Mobile and currently Government and Courts. It’s always the questions you don’t know to ask are the ones that give you an issue.
