1:30pm-2:30pm: Using Crowdsourcing to Capture Enterprise Architecture and Democratize It’s Use

Kirk Keller, IT Director – Enterprise Strategy and Architecture, University of Missouri
Sara Rubenstein, Business Technology Analyst for Enterprise Architecture, University of Missouri

COVID-19 has pushed Higher Education to adopt rapid transformations of technology to support core services such as education and research. However, central support and compliance requirements require an overall understanding of how disparate systems are connected. This presentation provides insight into how the University of Missouri (MU) uses crowdsourcing to both capture enterprise architecture as well as democratize its use.

This session will provide a real-world example covering:

– How MU built a metamodel to begin capture of the enterprise environment
– How MU leveraged existing processes such as project management and compliance
– How MU used the metamodel to create simple surveys and crowdsourced the building of the model
